I was overwhelmed with so many decisions and stress during the initial period following my diagnosis. While attending a conference on complementary medicine, I was encouraged by Healing Touch practitioners to find out more about the Bosom Buddies program. I found myself energized and excited. Soon after I was connected with my "Buddy," Lynn Hearl. She was so generous with her time and gave me nothing but positive energy. The Healing Touch treatments had a tremendous impact on my rate of recovery, and many people were amazed at my positive attitude. Though that first year was still very difficult, the steadying force that my "Bosom Buddy" provided gave me the physical, emotional and spiritual strength to face all of my issues.
     All this encouraged me to take Healing Touch classes so I could give back to others what was so unselfishly given to me. I am now a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, have completed my Bosom Buddies training and am currently a "buddy" for other women with breast cancer.
